PS3: Logitech Cordless Precision Controller by Rob Williams on June 5, 2007 in Gaming There’s a new PS3 wireless controller out there, and it’s from none other than the king of peripherals. The Pro Controller, which comes in white or black, has the same streamlined winged design as the Xbox 360 controller. The main difference is that the analog sticks are both on the upper part of the controller, whereas the 360 controller has one high and one low. On 1, the sticks are so loose, you can just angle the controller and they will move considerably - this controller is now useless. I have another that seems to be holding up alright, and another that will probably be useless soon (from the loose-ass sticks.) Otherwise the controllers are great - they feel fantastic in your hands and the buttons are nice (except the Dpad IMO). Battery life is good too, and no lag to speak of. The thing is I'm surprised that Logitech hasn't released Cordless Action controller like they did for the PS2 because that is so much better. The Cordless precision controller is too wide, the analogs are too loose and the D-Pad is just horrible very much 3rd Party quality. MS license out the rights to Logitech so that they can make an official wireless controller. This is why I think the controller sucks. When Sony gave Logitech the 'go ahead' they made a controller that surpasses even the Sony Dual Shock 2. The Xbox Cordless Precission is actually not a comfortable controller to hold and I think that if it was licensed like the PS2 Cordless Action controller then it would have a shape that was similar to that of the of Controller-S. The handles are a bit weird and the triggers are way too high. Logitech Cordless Precision Controller PcThe D-Pad feels cheap compared to the PS2 Cordless Action. Now for the Analog sticks. While they seem to be exactly the same the problem I have is that the Xbox Analog sticks are too loose compared to the S while the Cordless Action is also loose but then the Dual Shock 2 is loose. I rate them based comfort and comparison to the original 1st party controllers (GCN) Wavebird = Feels exactly like the original controller with the exception of extra bulk (PS2) Cordless Action = Feels pretty close to the original with a little extra bulk but not too distracting. (Xbox) Cordless Precision = Feels nothing like either Xbox controller. Triggers are too high, D-Pad feels cheap, buttons do not respond to slight preasure and require you to really push down on the button for action to take place (based on my expiriences playing Halo 2) The truth is I want an Xbox Cordless Action controller. '(PS2) Cordless Action = Feels pretty close to the original with a little extra bulk but not too distracting.' To me, the extra weight actually made the controller feel better. I always thought the Dual Shock 2 felt a bit too light and uneven. Holding Logitech's controller for the first time, I knew it was gonna be something good. I won't use a Dual Shock 2 again. • Ability to fuse multiple PDF documents and easy Forms & English language support. How to change language in adobe acrobat pro. Logitech Precision ControllerThis controller's just too good. From its 3-minute auto-off, to its optional vibration, to its simply 'press any button to power on,' this controller is awesome. I see what you mean about the Xbox controller though. I always thought it looked pretty weird when compared to the Controller S. I have the wireless controllers for both my Xbox and PS2 and really enjoy them both. Logitech Cordless Precision Controller Ps3 Manual SetupThe analog sticks are pretty close to the original controllers. For a wireless product, there's virtually no lag or missed signals. I was very impressed with that. Samsung galaxy apps free downloads. These controllers are almost on par with the Wavebird. My only gripe about these controllers is that the buttons aren't really force sensitive. Both the original Xbox & PS2 have a range of pressure on the buttons. The Logitechs only have one real pressure spot and that's all the way down with quite a bit of pressure. I find in a lot of the fast action games, they can be a nuisance. Most of my games are RPGs, so it's not to much of an issue. There have been times where I would switch back to the old controllers for some games that need the sensitivity range. I love the controllers, they're just not perfect. Keep an official controller on hand for certain titles. Ok, after buying this controller and playing only MVP so far this is what I've noticed. 1) in my hands, it's definintely not as comfortable as the 's' controller. I actually developed a small blister below my wedding finger 'cause of the shape of this controller 2) while holding the controller and having to move my thumb to the 'y' button for some reason it feels like i have to stretch my thumb a little bit, something i don't feel on the 's' controller. 3) the shoulder button placement does feel a little weird but not too bad. Also the analog sticks could use a bit more resistance. 4) yes, the 'd' button does feel very cheap looks like it could break very easily. Now, with all my negative comments you'd think I hate this controller but I don't. The responsiveness is very good and I'm still getting used to the feel and shape of it. It's not as comfortable for sure (in my hands anyway) but it's not bad.
